Enjoy Seniors: Jeri

Jeri is a beautiful person with a bubbly personality and piercing green eyes. I was so honored when she asked me to do her senior portraits... especially when I found out she is going to major in photography! Wow! Talk about pressure! We met at Huntingdon college on a chilly afternoon to do the formal portion of her senior portrait session, but she's such a trooper you can't even tell how cold it was!

Because I love her eyes, I was a bit surprised that my favorite images turned out to be these black and white ones. I used the Vanilla Soft Serve action from the MCP Quickie Action set and just loved the way they turned out:

I'm really looking forward to the casual portion of Jeri's session coming up very soon!

Enjoy Seniors: Jacob

A sneak peek for Jacob and his family and friends from the formal portion of his senior portrait session. I'm looking forward to completeing the session with a casual setting.

Enjoy Seniors: Whitney

Whitney endured some chilly weather to get the formal portion of her senior portrait session at Huntingdon College recently. Here are a few for friends and family to enjoy while we work on scheduling the casual portion in the next few weeks.

Enjoy Hadley at 6 Months

Here's another sneak peek for Hadley's family while the remainder of the 6-month session is uploading to her gallery. There's just nothing I love more than a pretty little girl in a tutu!!

The beautiful cradel in the background was handmade by Hadley's grandfather for her mother.

Don't you just love it when a baby finds her toes!

Enjoy Seniors

Jimmy's senior session had to be rescheduled a few times due to rain and a broken arm! However, it was well worth the wait to capture these images for mom :)

College Graduation

Senior portrait sessions are not just for high school seniors! Kathryn, a recent graduate of AUM, will always be able to remember this important time in her life with these images and more that have been uploaded to her online gallery. Thank you, Kathryn, for allowing me to document your achievement. And thank you to sister, Rachel, for holding the reflector for me :) You made a great assistant!

The Old Feed Store

My sweet husband made the mistake of telling me he wanted to take me to Lowndesboro to "show me something." He was thinking he could just run me up there, let me see what he wanted to show me, and get back home in time for a long,Sunday afternoon nap. Three hours and 500 photos later we were on our way home. I just had to upload one before I returned to editing client sessions. We think this was an old feed store. I just love Lowndesboro and wish I could book some portrait sessions there (hint, hint)!

Shari ♥ Wesley

Shari and Wesley were married yesterday in a beautiful ceremony. She wore her mother's wedding gown:

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Dalraida UMC sanctuary. The natural lighting was just perfect!

The floral arrangements were just beautiful -- full of sunflowers!

And the lighting couldn't have been better for the outdoor shots:

Shari and Wesley left the reception under a canopy of fall leaves to complete their wedding theme:

I just had to upload a few for their family & friends before directing my attention on this Sunday to my family.

More to come!

Here's a peek at a fun engagement session and five senior portrait sessions from this week. I'll be working on these galleries as well as photographing the long-awaited Lobenstein-Brown wedding this week-end.
