Enjoy Portraits of Love | Montgomery AL

The PhotoImaging Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMDA) and Soldiers' Angels have joined forces to send 10,000 free family portraits to deployed soldiers around the globe this holiday season.

If you are a military family and your loved one is currently serving overseas, and you would like to have a free 5"x7" portrait of your family sent to them, click here to find out how you can have your portrait taken and sent this holiday season.

I've reserved Saturday, September 5th and Saturday, September 12th to schedule these portrait sessions. If you would like to participate - or know of someone who would qualify - please have them call or email quickly to reserve a slot. Sessions will last 25 minutes to allow me to get in as many families as humanly possible on those days. Currently, I'm the only photographer in Alabama participating in the program, so I expect the slots I have available to fill quickly.

Enjoy Kittens | Elmore County Humane Shelter

These precious kittens are available for adoption at the Elmore County Humane Shelter in Wetumpka.

In this first pen I could hardly get their pictures. They all crawled up my blue jeans and curled up in my lap purring and begging for attention. Two of them ended up on my shoulders nuzzling my head.

These were in another pen and were just as sweet. Two females:

And a male:

Please tell me you can't resist these beautiful blue eyes on this pretty little girl:

Or this fluffy sweetness of this little girl:

These pretty black and white females were found on Main Street:

And I saved the best for last. I heard this little kitty above all the rest. My first thoughts were that it would never be adopted because it was so loud and obnoxious. The minute I walked into the pen it pounced on me. But it didn't take me long to discover that it was the most affectionate one in the whole bunch. It was just desperate for attention. I've never heard so much purring and experienced so much rubbing. After I finished the pictures I just sat down with them and loved them for a long time. I hope some of you out there will be inspired to pass the love along. Let people know what beautiful and loving animals can be found at the Humane Shelters.

The Elmore County Humane Shelter is running low on good cat/kitten dry food. If you live in that area please pick up an extra bag or two the next time you go shopping and drop it by.

Enjoy Jackaline | Elmore County Humane Shelter

Jackaline is a beautiful, black, female cat who is already declawed and altered. She was left on a vet's doorstep with a note that she was a great house cat.

She was also fascinated by my camera flash!

She's a very loving, playful cat and she needs a home.

She currently resides at the Elmore County Humane Shelter. If you adopt Jackaline, please send me an email and I'll get you 4x6 prints of these images.

Enjoy Jessie | Elmore County Humane Shelter

Jessie is a 1.5 year old female available for adoption at the Elmore County Humane Shelter.

My flash made her squint a little:

But you can see from these pictures how loving and playful she is. She needs a home.

If you adopt Jessie, send me an email and I'll give you some 4x6 prints of these images.

Enjoy Bunnies

I stopped by the Elmore County Humane Shelter this morning to update their cat photos and look what was there waiting for adoption! Rea Cord, the wonderful director of the ECHS, is holding a new arrival. His family recently adopted a large dog and apparently the dog does't like him. He is the softest thing I've ever felt in my life! Please contact the Elmore County Humane Shelter if you're interested in adopting him/her (?). I don't think this one will be available for long!
