Enjoy Seniors

I'm so glad senior (as in graduating senior) portraits have received so much emphasis in the last few years. What an important time in a persons life! And it should be remembered in a way that expresses the personality of the individual ... not with plastic numbers and drapes. I love this location in Lowndesboro for portraits. It was the perfect location for this creative young man who will be graduating in a few weeks.

Jeri and I got together for the casual portion of her senior session on Saturday afternoon in perfect lighting and temperature. Many more will be uploaded to Jeri's gallery, but these are my very favorites.

Jeri is a beautiful person with a bubbly personality and piercing green eyes. I was so honored when she asked me to do her senior portraits... especially when I found out she is going to major in photography! Wow! Talk about pressure! We met at Huntingdon college on a chilly afternoon to do the formal portion of her senior portrait session, but she's such a trooper you can't even tell how cold it was!




Because I love her eyes, I was a bit surprised that my favorite images turned out to be these black and white ones. I used the Vanilla Soft Serve action from the MCP Quickie Action set and just loved the way they turned out:






I'm really looking forward to the casual portion of Jeri's session coming up very soon!

Jimmy's senior session had to be rescheduled a few times due to rain and a broken arm! However, it was well worth the wait to capture these images for mom :)

College Graduation

Senior portrait sessions are not just for high school seniors! Kathryn, a recent graduate of AUM, will always be able to remember this important time in her life with these images and more that have been uploaded to her online gallery.
