Artist at Work

My daughter was recently hired to paint a theater backdrop. My husband and I stopped by to see it just as she was finishing. It's always fun to watch her work. I am so proud of how talented she is and also because she's turned out to be a wonderful young woman!

The backdrop will be part of the Peter Pan production for the Blowing Rock Stage Company in North Carolina and later at the Springer Opera House in Columbus, Georgia.

That's her proud dad in the chair behind her.

These were taken with a little point-and-shoot I carry with me in my purse at ALL times -- the Canon PowerShot SD800 IS. It's a great little camera! I did have it set on manual mode so the flash wouldn't fire.
