Remember to vote tomorrow.
And while we're speaking of voting, here are a few images from Blount County, AL where Pamela Casey is running for District Attorney. I had the privilege of taking her campaign photographs last year and was very proud to see them on her billboards and website!

Enjoy Country Boys | Montgomery AL Photographer
This young man is looking out over 5 generations of farm land and I was so happy to be asked to photograph him in this environment.
The sun was setting and I just couldn't resist taking some of the trendy backlighting-lensflaring photos.
But I am always sure to include some traditional lighting. I've heard several times recently that photography trends come and go in about 8 years, but good lighting techniques haven't really changed much since the invention of the camera.
Sweet little brother really didn't want much to do with this session, but I did manage to grab a few that I just loved:
This blue heeler was so sweet! In honor of her name - Bluebell - I used one of Florabella's new spring photoshop actions of the same name:
Before leaving, this sweet family let me drive back on the part of the property that isn't easily seen from the highway and take a few sunset pictures. I'm sure I smiled all the way home.

Enjoy Newborns | Montgomery AL Photographer
Somebody's a big sister now!
Just a few quick peeks from a newborn session this morning!
I could just see this one as a birth announcement (using a free texture from Shadowhouse Creations):

Enjoy Weddings
Kristen and Brent were married May 1st at the beautiful Saint Elias Maronite Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
Kristen's sweet sister and fun bridesmaids were on hand to help with the preparation.
Dad added the lucky sixpence.
And mom put on the garter.
Kristen is beautiful inside and out!
This little flower girl was a show stopper!!
Kristen's nephew was too cute in his little tux!
I guess because of my own sons I love to capture these moments between the groom and his mother.
There are some good formal captures of the groom and groomsmen, but this one is so much more fun! I love it when the guys act up at the wedding! It eases the tension and allows everyone to have fun.
Kristen and Brent didn't see each other before the ceremony ... this was as close as they got. Such a special moment.
And now it's time. Kristen walks to the ceremony alone. One of my favorite captures of the day. All the excitement mounting inside the church and in Kristen's heart - I can just feel it in this image.
There was a moment when we thought the sweet flower girl was going to turn around and head back... but her dad coaxed her down the aisle.
Then Kristen and Brent have their first look.
And the beautiful celebration begins.
A few family shots ...
... and full wedding party shots after the ceremony...
...then off to the reception at LincPoint!
The special dances came first...
... followed by the cutting of the cakes.
The groom's cake was an entire table of cheesecakes! How awesome is that!
A fun time was had by all!
The surprise of the evening was a lovely serenade of the bride by her groom and the groomsmen!
Kristen and Brent, the finishing touches will go on the images tomorrow morning and then I'll start uploading them. I hope you enjoy your preview while you await the final release of the gallery!
Thank you to Katherine and Steve for allowing me to be a part of this special day and making me feel a part of your sweet family!
Many thanks to Lori Mercer for being there with her talent and sweet spirit!
