Catching Up

We celebrate Thanksgiving on Sunday, so I'm using today to catch up on some of the family photos that have been neglected during this busy fall season. This is my younger son and his sweet family:

Today's Special

One of Elijah's images in his cute hat from Momof2Ks won a Picture of the Day at Digital Image Cafe today.

Kate

I was editing some sessions from last week and ran across these images I wanted to share. Kate is a beautiful first grader with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes! These were taken at Buena Vista in Prattville.

Yikes!

Nobody pointed out that I was misspelling "peek!" Sneak Peek!! Not Sneak Peak!! Yikes, I am so embarrassed!! I'm going to go back and edit all the posts ASAP!

Youngest Member

I finally had the opportunity to take a few photos of our youngest family member, little EJ. He's 10 days old today. Here are three I quickly grabbed to show off (2 in this post and one in the previous post). I'll post some of EJ and his sisters later this week.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Sweet Addie came by today for her First Christmas portrait session. It's always a delight to work with Addie and her mom and dad. I quickly pulled out these three for a sneak peek and will have more for mom and dad to view later this week.

Naughty or Nice?

Elijah was in a particularly nice mood when Mom and Dad brought him by for Christmas pictures today. I just couldn't wait to upload these sneak peeks for family and friends!

I was honored to be the photographer for this young couple's wedding earlier this year. Today I got to photograph their first Christmas together. I was thrilled when they brought along their baby, Sadie! What a cutie!!





Sadie is only about 7 months old, so this truly is her "first Christmas!"


Sadie's fluffy ears covered the top of her shirt, so I added it to the border!! Too funny!!

On the Menu Today

Woo Hoo! One of the pictures I took at Buena Vista last week just won a Picture of the Day in the people category at Digital Image Cafe! The Cafe is a fun and informative online community of photographers working together to hone our skills.

This is the second time Sophie has won me a POTD at the Cafe! She's an irresistible little lady!

Sister/Assistant

I can't show you any of the beautiful bridal portraits from a Tuesday session at Buena Vista in Prattville, but I can share these candids of the bride's sister helping me capture the moment. She was too much fun!! You won't get to see any of the bridal portraits until December 27th!

Family

It was a delight to photograph these fun-loving siblings. A beautiful fall day at Buena Vista provided the perfect backdrop. Many more choices are coming for mom, but here are a few quick favorites:

Sophie

The joy and activity of a new grandchild has caused some delay in posting sneak peeks for portrait clients this week! I hope to be current on the blog by the end of today :)

New Addition

Mom and baby are fine. And mom doesn't look like she's been through labor & delivery!!! Dad is very proud and happy.



And our family is very blessed.

Lion

Okay, next year I'll know ... photograph the grandchildren in their Halloween outfits before Halloween so I won't be posting Halloween pictures while everyone is thinking Christmas & Thanksgiving. However, you must admit this precious lion outfit was just too cute not to capture. Elijah's other grandmother did a fantastic job making this outfit!

New Do

As her dad said, "It was inevitable." Haley has a new (short) do courtesy of her big sister :) Mom had to make a quick, unplanned trip to the hairdressers, but she's still as cute as a bug!
