September Mini Session

I'm experimenting with a new location for portrait photography in September - The Confederate Memorial Park in Marbury, AL.

Confederate Memorial Park is the site of Alabama's only Old Soldiers Home for Confederate Veterans. In operation from 1902 to 1939, the home cared for elderly veterans, and wives and widows of veterans. The site included 22 buildings consisting of cottages, a hospital, dairy barn, mess hall, an elaborate water and sewage system, and Memorial Hall, an administration building which held offices, a library, and a large auditorium. The home served between 650 and 800 residents. The majority of veterans served in Alabama outfits, but many were from other Confederate states and moved to Alabama after the war. The last veteran died at the home in 1934. The facility closed in 1939 when the five remaining widows were moved to Montgomery for better care.

Investment: $50 for 25-minute session plus the park admission fee per person ($5/adult, $3/children, free/under 6, $12/family according to website)

Details

* Session price includes an on-line gallery for 60 days, 2-for-1 print prices for 30 days after the gallery is posted, and your choice of 15 professionally-printed 4x6s or one digital file of your choice sized to reprint up to 4x6 for use in holiday cards.
* Sessions may be booked for individual, siblings, or immediate family. Additional $25 per session for extended family or friends.
* You may reserve more than one mini-session date.
* If you feel you need more than 25 minutes, you may book two or more mini sessions in a row (recommended for more than 2 children).
* The non-refundable session fee must be paid in advance to reserve your time. Fee is refundable if session is canceled due to inclement weather and you cannot come on the rain date.
