Available Light Portrait Session ...Now Available

I was able to work around the threat of severe and unusual weather this past week-end to get one session in Saturday, but the other free Available Light Portrait Session advertised earlier had to be canceled. So that means a slot that was previously filled is now open. This subject must be a teenager or adult(s). I also still have the environmental portrait session available. I will need to schedule these soon as the due dates on these assignments is passing quickly. There's more information here. Snow Day 2009

Yes, that's the weather forecast for yesterday in Montgomery ALABAMA! And those of you who live above the Mason-Dixon line have no idea why we're so excited.

Natural Light Portraits

Here are three of my favorite images from a Saturday natural light portrait session. There was a small opportunity for photos between tornado warnings Saturday morning and snow Saturday night! The snow-storm clouds moving in prevented enough light from coming indoors through windows, but I was able to take these outdoors. With the help of mom, dad, and grandparents, we were able to get a few smiles in spite of a missed nap. My favorite, however, ended up being the first one below where she was neither smiling nor looking at the camera.

First Snow

It was Elijah's first experience with snow ... a rarity in Alabama! His sweet mom let me plop him in the middle of it for a quick photo shoot.

Sweet Maggie

Sweet Maggie came for a portrait session this week. I've been wanting to photograph a white dog or cat on a highkey background for a long time. But my favorite one of Maggie is the one on the mottled background with her comfy brown pillow. She is just a little doll!
