(Baby) Bird Watching

It's with mixed emotions that I watch the little birds in our ferns grow. They've been fun to photograph, but I'm worried about a neighbor's cat that's had his eye on them from the time they were eggs! I hope "we" can get them out of the nest and on their way before he discovers they're old enough to fly.

Welcome to Elijah M.

We recently added an Elijah to our family, but this is another newborn with the same first name. I am praying that both of these little Elijahs will be used by God in a mighty way in their generation.

Marengo House 2 - Infrared

Marengo House in Lowndesboro has beautiful trees overhanging the long driveway. I couldn't resist trying a few Infrared photos with the beautiful green of the trees at this time of year. Unfortunately, the sky was uncooperative for Infrared -- it should show up a dark gray to contrast with the white leaves. I use my Sony F828 with a Hoya Infrared, 2 neutral density filters and a polarizer purchased from The Filter Connection (very helpful folks!). The photos were converted to black & white and sepia in Lightroom.
